The Harvest Tec automatic applicator is integrated onto the conventional balers’ frame. The applicator takes numerous sensor readings to apply product at a fixed rate or variable rate per tonne of crop. The balers performance is continually monitored and the applicator reacts to any changes in output. The information is displayed directly onto the tractors ISOBUS terminal or iPad using the Hay App
The automatic applicator comes as a complete package, and includes twin star wheel moisture sensors, a 100 to a 210 litre tank, high output spray bar with up to 2 nozzles, digital flow meter, single high output pump with solenoid rate control and optional infra red crop detection at the baler pick-up.
With a single high output pump the rate is controlled by 1 pulsating solenoid and is instantaneously changed to baling speed (tonnes per hour) and moisture changes. This ensure accurate application to within 0.1 litres per tonne and ensure the forage is correctly treated, from low to high application rates
Based on the parameters of bale weight, time per bale and accurate on the move moisture sensing the applicator will automatically stop, start and adjust application rate without any operator interaction
The solenoid rate control will pulse at variable rates as required to apply liquid based on the balers performance and moisture readings. As crops flow or moisture changes the application will adjust automatically by changing the solenoid pulse rate
The automatic applicator can be upgraded with bale management systems.
