APV provide air seeders for the cost effective establishment of crops such as oil seed rape, grass seeds, and green cover crops and game cover plots.
The new PRO Harrow is designed specifically to control weeds such as black grass in pre established and established crops. The weed control in specialist crops such as potatoes is also possible with the PRO working in both the channel and ridge at the same time with even tine pressure applied across the undulation. the tine pressure is hydraulically adjusted to offer on the go adaptation to crop conditions and ground conditions.
The Tined Weeder PRO VS M1 adjusts with its unique tine spring system to the soil and protects the culture plant at the highest level. Its 8 mm tines
in a 35 mm spacing apply the same tine pressure on the ground even at different tine levels. This enables harrowing of crops planted on ridges, such as potatoes. The tine pressure stays the same on the ridge crowns, ridge flanks and in the furrow. In contrast to the conventional Tined Weeders, the harrow tine is indirectly spring-loaded and pivots within the frame. The benefit of this is that the tine can only move downwards and upwards and not to left or right → a unique weed removal experience.

The tines penetrate the soil while harrowing to a maximum depth of 2-3 cm in order to break up and crumble the top soil crust. This ensures a better soil aeration and the capillarity is interrupted. The main focus of harrowing is on the reduction of weeds. While the tines move over the soil, bad herbs in the shoot or germination stage will be covered with soil or pulled out and discarded on top of the soil. There, they wither and die off. This means that approximately 90 % of the weed germs in the stock are decimated.
The tine pressure stays the same on the ridge crowns, ridge flanks and in the furrow.
With the tine spring system, the tines can be lifted so that harrowing is possible even in sensitive crops or in sensitive crop stages. This enlarges the time slot, because the tine pressure can be reduced to the tine’s net weight and thus no breaks for harrowing are required in sensitive plant stages. The hydraulic tine pressure adjustment is available as standard on the APV Tined Weeder Pro and ensures step less adjustment of the pressure.

The APV seeder has electric, electric plus or hydraulic control depending on the seed size and capacity required. with various controls available from new manual 1.2 terminal to the 6.2 touch controller. The 5.7 terminal will operate two metering units if multiple applications are required. ISOBUS control via the tractors terminal will provide the speed and linkage position reducing the need for the additional GPS and micro switch options.
Outlets vary from 8-16 depending on the PS model. The seeds are fed from the seed hopper via the electrically controlled seeding shaft into the air duct. The seeds are conveyed by air support through plastic hoses to the dispersion plates, and then evenly distributed close to the soil. This enables precise seeding even in windy conditions. The pipes can be attached to coulters for seed drilling at depth for crops such as cereals and maize
- Multiple options to adjust the PS to your needs due to a wide selection of hoppers, seeding shafts, types of fan, outlets, etc.
- Universal mounting options on almost all implements, such as seed drills, single grain machines, culture maintenance implements, soil tillage implements or harvesters
